Healthy Recipes Part 1: Tuna Burgers

As you may be aware, about 70% of the gains you make with your training come down to your ability to control your diet and supply your body with the nutrients it needs. For that reason i decided to start adding a series of healthy option recipes.

 

Tuna Burgers

Tuna burgers are a great way to satisfy your burger craving while sticking on your diet. If you happen to be on a low carb diet rather than having the burger on a whole grain roll,  drop the bread roll and exchange the rolled oats for finely chopped veggies

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 can tuna
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats/finely chopped vegetables
  • 1/8 cup chopped onion
  • 1/8-1/4 cup low fat mayo
  • garlic seasoning

Directions:

Combine the tuna, oats, and whisked egg whites together. Stir in onion, mayo, garlic and then form into patties. Place the patties on a skillet and flip at half time as you would with a regular hamburger.
